Over the last 5 days, Brand to Market had the privilege and duty of migrating the three Lone Star Attitude websites (the hosting and domain registrar) from GoDaddy, and a previous host over to 1 and 1 Hosting, whom we really like working with and for multiple reasons. Lone Star Attitude is Texas’ #1 Americana corporate events and private party bands, headed by Texas/Nashville singer songwriter, Jon Christopher Davis, one of our long time clients and a good friend.
Migrating website domains and their hosting is one of the most dreadful things most small business owners would rather avoid than deplore because of the complexity and the stress and anxiety involved, and all the steps that have to happen in a timely manner to make it a seamless, flawless process. The last thing you as business owner want; is your website to go down for a number of days, or it be all jacked up once the migration is complete. This process is a lot like individuals or families moving from one city to another and the stress involved before, during and after the move. It’s a common known fact that moving can be one of the top stressors in our lives so charting it out in advance and selecting the best home and best movers is an import part of the process. We migrated 2 of the 3 sites on the same day, but the job went well with no glitches and our client is very happy with the flawless process.
With the migration of the Lone Star Attitude websites, the client is not only now the account owner of the hosting and the domains, the sites and domains are now under one roof that he now controls. Jon first hired Brand to Market to design and configure an organic SEO implementation into most of his websites and the marketing of them back in 2014. This migrating process is going to save our client between $300 to $400 a year with the hosting and the SSL certificates cost and his websites are now on a much faster, newer server, and the 3 websites are SSL secure, backed with a $500K insurance policy. Part of this migration job order includes; designing and installing SEO implementation into the 3 websites with multiple plug-ins, as well as setting up the websites in multiple search engine dashboards, as well as Google analytics, google webmaster tools, google business listings, Bing webmaster tools, as well as syncing the sites with all the above, which provides a lot of variable data that business owners need as part of their marketing strategy decision making.
